AgentMan: Build Smarter Agents Without Coding?
I tested AgentMan without a developer to see whether its no-code promise holds up in practice. The skills library and Claude connector worked smoothly in my test, but the bigger question remains: **can AgentMan reliably handle real business work once you move beyond templates and demos?** Here’s what I found, what Agentman claims, what I could verify, and where the platform still leaves important questions unanswered.

Most AI agent platforms promise to turn everyday work into automated workflows. I wanted to see how much of that Agentman could deliver without a developer.
This Agentman review is based on a free account, 15 dashboard screenshots, and a real test of its Claude connector. One thing worth knowing early: it covers Agentman.ai, the no-code SaaS platform. There is also an open-source developer tool called Agentman, a Docker-like command-line tool that builds MCP-based agents from an “Agentfile” (see its PyPI page). They are different products. If you want the CLI, this isn’t that review.
Agentman makes it easy to discover and reuse skills, and the guided builder is clear. But my test didn’t go as far as a deployed agent handling real business work, so I can’t tell you how reliable that part is.
What Is Agentman, and How Does It Work?
Agentman is a platform that turns a team’s expertise into reusable AI skills and lets non-technical users build agents on top of them.
After logging in, you choose one of three products:
- Agent Skills stores, versions, and shares your team’s expertise as skills.
- Agent Builder builds, tests, and runs agents with no code.
- Medman is a separate, healthcare-focused back-office suite (eligibility checks, inbox triage), priced by agent. It isn’t just another agent type inside the general builder.
Agentman’s pricing page frames the idea this way: a skill is your expertise codified, an agent runs one skill, and a harness orchestrates hundreds of agents. Skills are the real center of the product. Agents are what you build once the skills exist.
Agentman Features: What You Actually Get
Agentman’s features fall into four groups: agent types, skills, connections, and governance.
Agent types. The “What kind of agent?” screen shows four options:
| Agent type | Best for | Shown on screen |
|---|---|---|
| Smart Agent | Conversation only | Custom instructions, guardrails, persona |
| Expert Agent | Business assistants | MCP integrations, skills, knowledge bases |
| Flow Agent | Repeatable tasks | Goal-driven runs, tool orchestration, stateless per run |
| Deep Research Agent | Web research | Marked “Coming Soon” |
“Stateless per run” describes the documented design of a Flow Agent. It doesn’t mean a larger workflow can never keep state elsewhere. Agentman suggests starting with Expert Agent because it includes everything.
Why the MCP piece matters.MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard that lets AI tools call external tools and data. Agentman uses it to act as a central hub: store a skill once, then reach it from Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or Cursor through one connection. For a team, that means one skill library instead of prompts scattered across chat windows. I tested Claude only.
Governance. On the Agent Skills pricing page, Team includes versioning and one-click restore. Business adds per-skill access control, use-only sharing (run a skill without seeing its instructions), approvals before changes are published, and activity visibility. I was on the free plan, so I couldn’t test role permissions or approvals.
Connections. My Connections page had three tabs: MCP Servers, HTTP Tools, and Phone Numbers. The MCP tab listed one server, agentman_alphaas Available with 5 tools. I didn’t test HTTP tools, and I found nothing documented about webhooks or Zapier-style triggers, or how agents call outside systems.
My Hands-On Agentman Test
The dashboard has a left sidebar (Home, Skills, Use in Claude, Agents, Plugins, Connections, Activity). The Agents page has Chat Agents, Flow Agents, and Workflows tabs, with a “Lab” tag on Workflows. My account showed “0 of 3 deployed,” matching the free plan’s three-agent cap.
The first thing I noticed was the empty state. There’s no demo data, so you can’t judge output until you build something.
The wizards. The Smart Agent wizard has 10 steps and 19 templates. The Expert Agent wizard has 12 steps and 39 templates across 12 industries. When I filtered Expert templates by Marketing, I found one: the AI Content Creation Suite. It pre-fills a role (a creative content strategist), a goal (posts, blogs, SEO content, ad copy, video scripts), and a numbered instruction brief. That’s one filter result, not a verdict on the whole library.
The Claude connector test.
This is the strongest part of my review. The “Use in Claude” page gives a workspace-specific URL and requests two scopes skills:execute. Setup takes four steps: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, paste the URL, and sign in. Agentman also publishes a guide to connecting your library to Claude.
- Prompt 1: “Write a LinkedIn post or blog with the Agentman connector.”
- Result: Claude found four relevant skills (a LinkedIn post generator, an Agentman-voice LinkedIn skill, a brand-voice blog generator, and an AEO/SEO blog generator), then asked for the format and topic instead of drafting. That cost one extra round trip.
- Prompt 2: “Write a short post of at least 5 to 6 lines with a strong hook and high ctr.”
- Result: A six-line post opening with “Your ‘AI agent’ is probably just automation with a new label,” plus alternate hooks.

The draft was usable, but it left a “[link]” placeholder and generic hashtags for me to replace. I didn’t measure click-through rates, so I make no performance claims. This test shows skills can be discovered and executed from Claude. It does not show that every integration works.
Separately, the Popular Skills list leans toward marketing: about-agentman (299 uses), aeo-blog-generator (142), agentman-image-gen (109), agentman-pptx-style (97), agentman-styleguide (89), and brand-voice-agent (82). Usage counts measure popularity, not quality.
Agentman Pricing: Free Plan, Paid Plans, and Credits
Agentman pricing is freemium: Agent Skills charges per seat, Agent Builder charges per builder plus credits, and Medman charges per agent.
| Product | Free | Paid |
|---|---|---|
| Agent Skills | 3 members, 10 private skills | Team $10/seat (3-seat minimum, from $30/mo); Business $25/seat (5-seat minimum, from $125/mo) |
| Agent Builder | 1 user, 3 agents, 200 credits/month, no extra credits | Team $29/builder/month, unlimited agents, 5,000 credits per builder |
| Medman | n/a | Eligibility checks at $0.50 each; add only the agents you need |
A worked example: a two-builder Agent Builder team pays $58 a month and gets 10,000 credits, since credits are per builder. Viewers and agent users are free.
The credit gap. Agentman says credits are used each time an agent performs an action, and that cost varies by action complexity and the model used. I found no published conversion from credits to tasks, so I can’t tell you how many runs 5,000 credits buys. Credits also reset each cycle without rolling over. Paid plans can buy more or enable auto-purchase, but the free plan can’t.
Pricing in this category changes quickly, and some third-party directories list older figures. Confirm everything on the official Agent Builder and Agent Skills pricing pages before buying.
Is Agentman Secure? HIPAA, SOC 2, and Data Privacy
“Ready” and “certified” are different statuses, so read the exact wording before you rely on a badge.
The dashboard shows HIPAA Compliant, SOC 2 Ready, and ISO 27001 Ready. Agentman’s security page is more specific:
- HIPAA: controls in place, with a BAA available for customers handling PHI.
- SOC 2: controls implemented, audit not completed, no report issued.
- ISO 27001: system implemented, certification audit underway.
- GDPR and CCPA: listed as available.
HIPAA compliance also depends on your configuration, contracts, and how your own team handles protected health information, so a badge isn’t a guarantee for your deployment.
On training data, Agentman states that your company data is never used to train models and that PHI stays in your tenant. It also says every agent action is logged with skill version, citation, timestamp, and operator. I couldn’t verify either claim in a free account, so I included both in your contract review.
Agentman vs. Alternatives
Agentman is easiest to compare by asking who builds the agent, how much control you need, and where governance lives. I haven’t tested the alternatives below, so this is a map, not a ranking.
| Option | Built for | Setup style | Worth checking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Agentman | Teams reusing expertise across AI tools | No-code | Credits, per-skill access, audit trail |
| Custom GPTs | Individuals and teams inside ChatGPT | No-code | Governance and cross-tool reuse |
| Relevance AI | Non-technical agent builders | No-code | Pricing model, templates, audit features |
| n8n | Workflow automation | Visual, more technical | Triggers, self-hosting, flexibility |
| Dify | LLM app builders | Developer-friendly | Hosting and control |
For a framework-style approach, how CrewAI works and what it costs gives you a closer look at what you take on when building with code. The trade-off is straightforward: more control also means more engineering.
Agentman Pros and Cons
Pros
- Clear split between agent types
- Skills reachable from Claude without building an agent
- Free entry on every product
- Pricing pages that state seat minimums and credit rules
- A security page that admits what is still in progress
Cons
- Credit costs per task aren’t published
- Generic template instructions need heavy editing
- Deep Research Agent isn’t available yet
- Free limits are small
- SOC 2 and ISO 27001 aren’t completed
Who Should Use Agentman?
Agentman suits content teams that want shared brand-voice skills, small teams that want one skill library across AI tools, and healthcare practices willing to evaluate Medman separately. Look elsewhere if you need deep custom code, a large niche template catalog, or a Deep Research Agent today.
Before deploying anything, check six things: the right agent type, rewritten instructions, guardrails, tests with real inputs, a week of credit tracking, and compliance documents if you handle sensitive data. This FancyAI Agents review explores the practical questions worth asking before choosing an AI agent platform.
Final Verdict: Is Agentman Worth Trying?
Agentman earns a free-tier test, mainly for its skills library and Claude connector. In my test, discovery was fast, and the draft was usable. What I couldn’t establish is how a deployed agent performs on real work, how permissions behave on paid plans, or how credits translate to tasks. Build one Expert Agent, connect your skills to Claude, and judge the output on a real task. Check pricing and compliance documents on the day you buy.
